Gare Routière de Tan Tan
Tan Tan, Morocco · 2024
Project Overview
Ranked among the top five proposals, the new Tan-Tan bus station is conceived as an urban threshold: a place of movement, waiting and orientation capable of giving civic presence to infrastructure. The project pursues a clear and measured architecture, where simple volumes engage with a language drawn from the forms, textures and materials of the territory. Light, filtered through the patterned facade, becomes both a comfort device and a sign of cultural anchoring. Beyond the building, the proposal treats the ground as a true urban surface. Bus, taxi, passenger and service routes are carefully structured to make movement intuitive, safe and efficient. The station thus reinforces its role as an accessible, functional and representative public facility for the city.
