Medolla School Canteen

Project Overview

Integral structural design of the new Medolla school canteen, conceived as an extension of the neighbouring primary school and designed as a class-4 building able to serve both as a school facility and a potential emergency shelter, and therefore subject to the most demanding seismic safety standards. Behind a clean architecture, the building integrates robust structural solutions: a reinforced-concrete structure with infill walls and large openings, paired with a box-girder roof supported by large glulam beams. This combination delivers both robustness and flexibility, offering the local community a safe, functional and durable facility.
