Post-Earthquake Assessments, Marrakech

Project Overview

Following the recent earthquake in Morocco, a series of structural assessments was carried out in Marrakech on both private buildings and hotel establishments. The inspections evaluated the safety of the structures and determined whether they could be safely reoccupied and reopened to the public. Where buildings were judged structurally sound, a validation confirmed their fitness for use; where significant damage compromised safety, properties were declared unfit and a recommendation was issued for in-depth rehabilitation or renovation. This work was decisive in assisting owners, operators and local authorities in informed decision-making, safeguarding public safety and the continuity of essential activities.
