Saint-Pierre-Apôtre Church, Cento
Cento, Italy · 2018
Project Overview
Seismic strengthening of the church of Cento, severely affected by the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquake, through numerous local interventions carefully adapted to the historic value of the building. Each measure was developed with particular attention to detail, ensuring compliance with structural requirements alongside ongoing architectural restoration. The project required the coordination of multiple restoration works, combining structural reinforcement with the preservation of artistic and cultural heritage. This integrated approach significantly improved the seismic safety of the church while preserving its heritage character, giving the building renewed structural reliability for the local community.
